The best way to handle an earthquake is to prepared before it happens. California has been due for a big earthquake and now is the time to prepare your household and family. First steps to prepare for a natural disaster like the "Big One", is to have an emergency kit in your home, car and at work. Below is a list of possible items to keep in your kit: 

• Important Documents (Insurance policies, Identifications and bank account records.) 
• Flashlights with extra sets of batteries
• First Aid Kit
• Portable Radio 
• Water and Non-perishable food 
• Whistle
• Prescription medications  
• Extra Sets of clothing and Tennis Shoes
